Autumn Equinox: Balance Yoga Workshop

Twice a year, in Spring and Autumn, the sun crosses the plane of the earth's equator, and day and night are of equal length. Honoring these transitions helps bring us into alignment with nature and assists us in letting go of habitual negative thought patterns, opening us to new potential. Autumn is a time for letting go, of surrender, and to release and exhale, just as the trees begin to shed their leaves.The Autumn Equinox is a point of union and balance between the Light and the Dark, Fire and Water, and between the Yang and the Yin. It is a reminder to get a little closer to the core of life, balancing all parts of ourselves, the active and the passive, the known and the unknown, the outer journey and the inner journey. We'll practice gentle, warming movements to transition from summer and slowly move into stillness with gentle and restorative poses, breathwork, meditation, and self-inquiry to embrace the changing season.
